First of all, I thank my Father God that he has blessed me so much and gave me everything I need. I am a girl of a Baptist church. I pray and have gone to church from childhood but I couldn’t receive Father Lord in my life as my savior and protector. Suddenly a chance of accepting Jesus as savior came in my life. A big conference and baptism ceremony were held in my church. Some days before it, teaching before baptism was given and I received that teaching and I was baptized in April 2009.
After that, I realized I shouldn`t do evil works, had to speak the truth always, had to pray daily and had to lead a life in Jesus. I led my life at that time for a few days and went back to my previous life again. Then I came to Khulna for my study and started to study hard for my admission test for a college I wanted to get admission in. I wrote my exam paper so well that I thought I would get a chance there. But when I got the result, I saw that I didn`t get a chance. I broke down so hard and that one academic year was lost. The next year when the time of admission came again, I gave my admission test. This time my performance was not satisfactory, and I thought maybe I had lost my chance to get admitted in a college.
That night I read the Bible for a long time and found Psalm 121:1-2. I came to understand that day. I started to pray and study the Bible so much and felt a change in my life which I didn`t feel even after my baptism. And I got my answer; I got chance in the college. I felt the Father`s blessing more clearly and felt the blessing which was not in my life before. I kept that blessing still now.

January 20, 2021–Lelin (Hindu, age 22) is a new student in BMW. We were talking about the second birth. According to Hinduism, second birth is only possible after a new birth and starting a new life. It is their rebirth theory. But I explained to him what is the second birth for us and why it is important for us. I told him that we are born again when we repent for our sin, leave our previous life and start our new life with receiving Jesus in our life. He is still confused about it. He wanted to know how can we understand if our sins have been forgiven or not. We will discuss about it again some other day and that’s how we ended our conversation.

I also suggested her to lead a life staying away from sin. She liked the idea of leading a good life and told me that she would do that.

Am I right?” I answered yes, you are right. Because that way we can get free from our sin and we can get eternal life in heaven. Our time was short for this reason I couldn’t continue the conversation. I will keep in touch with her. Please pray for me so that I can share about the truth.
November 10, 2020–I give thanks to the Lord that this month I was able to visit every group and meet every team leader. Most of the students haven’t completed their 2nd book. Most of the teams are still giving exams on their first book. They are very slow in reading and writing as they have started after a long time. May God give them enough enthusiasm for the Bible studies.
My team in Batiaghata is a group of Hindu students. They are very less responsive, and their interest is low nowadays. Please keep them in your prayers so that God may work in their heart and their interests to learn about Jesus’ return.

October 15, 2020–Juthi (44, non-believer) is a student of BMW. She is a member of a Catholic Church. She doesn’t know how to pray well and she doesn’t know the purpose of prayer. I shared the Bridge Illustration with her through Romans 3:23 and 6:23. She told me, “I was born into a Christian family but I have never heard this type of teaching about salvation and Jesus.” This is the first time she has heard about salvation through Jesus. She used to pray to Mary. She doesn’t have assurance of salvation. I will keep in touch with her and will give more teaching about assurance of salvation so that she can accept Jesus in her life.
October 15, 2020–I have a total of 7 groups consisting of 62 students. I was able to visit only 4 teams and 25 students in person. Please pray for me so that I can visit every team and student next month. Pray for two of my teams, Jeberpara and Batiyaghata. They still are not willing to sit in a group. May God give them courage to start all over.

Please pray for him so that God may help him to get enlightened with wisdom and spiritual guidance. I wasn’t able to contact Marcus, Martha and Juliet. Please pray for me so that I can reach out to them and especially for Juliet. She is not giving me any time for a couple of months. God may talk in her heart.
I shared gospel with 3 people, Tripti Golder, Runa Mazumder and Rukaiya. Rukaiya is Muslim and my student. I have been following her up and her response is quite positive to my teaching. Please keep me in prayer so that Lord give me wisdom and courage to represent Christ to them.
October 9, 2020–I was sharing about BMW courses with Munni (18, Christian). During our conversation I wanted to know about assurance of salvation. She answered, “I don’t know about salvation, but I believe in God, I read Bible, I pray to God, I go to church.” Then I shared the Bridge Illustration with her through Romans 3:23 and 6:23. Then I questioned her, are you a sinner? She replied, “Everyone is sinner.” Then I questioned her, if everyone commits sin and never repents for their sin then what will happen? She answered, “They will go to hell.” I will continue to keep in touch and will share more about salvation.
September 18, 2020–I shared the Bridge illustration earlier with Rukaiya (23, Muslim), and I emphasized sin. Today I shared about the result of sin and death. I shared that if we commit sin then we will face punishment and this punishment will be a spiritual death. She told me that “Allah will forgive us for our sin, but He doesn’t allow all of our sin. If someone worships another God instead of Allah, then they have to face punishment. All sins deserve forgiveness except comparison with Allah. Also she was sharing as a human being everybody will die but I don’t believe death is the result of sin.” She believed that if someone was asking forgiveness for sin, Allah would forgive because Allah is merciful. At the end of our conversation I felt it’s really hard to let them understand about the truth. Again I will share for that I need God’s wisdom. Please pray for her and me as well.
September 12, 2020–I went to (age 16, Christian) Tripti’s house to ask her to join BMW. Her mother told me, “She is not interested about religion activities.” I told Tripti, I want to share something with you. She replied, “Yes, you can.” I shared the Bridge illustration with her, and I questioned her about many things related to salvation. She answered very well and she shared about her life. She knows that every day she is committing sin and the result is punishment. But she is struggling to believe on God. From her childhood nobody taught her about God and His purpose. She didn’t know about salvation. She is still struggling to believe on God. I shared about the grace of God, but I felt I needed to share more about salvation and I will keep in touch with her. Pray for her life and me as well.
September 5, 2020–After I finished my group class, I went to (26 year old Christian) Luna’s house for visit. I was talking with her family, during our conversation. Luna told me she is an obedient girl. Then I started to talk about obedience. I questioned her, what will your parents do when you are disobedient? She answered, “Sometimes they will punish me.” During our conversation, I started to share the Bridge illustration with her. After I shared the Bridge illustration she told me she is a believer, but sometimes she commits sin as a human being. She used to ask forgiveness to God when she realized it. She believed that she got salvation as a Christian. I questioned her, how do you know that you have salvation? She replied, “I was sick, but I prayed to God and overnight God healed me.” I understood that she didn’t know properly about salvation. Then I have shared assurance of salvation with her and gave some verses on this topic. Then she understood about salvation better than earlier. But I felt that I needed to share more about assurance of salvation. Please pray for her understanding, and me as well, so that I can give proper teaching about salvation.
September 3, 2020–I have a total of 55 students and I was able to talk over the phone with 34 students. The students I contacted were very attentive. I can’t reach the other students because some have no phone and others are not willing to do classes using the phone belonging to others.
I have four disciples. Their names are Sagorika, Aurgho, Markus and Martha. I talked with all of them and I talked in person with two of them. I talked with Martha about sin and disobedience. Marcus helps me take care of the Batiyaghata team which is very far from my home and the mobile network is not good. The other two are just memorizing verses.
I was able to share the Bridge illustration with 4 people. They were not very responsive. Even one of them was a Christian but didn’t realize the importance of salvation. Ask God to bless them to understand, and also ask God to help me to develop my strategy of sharing gospel. I have a plan to follow up with 3 people next month.
A 3rd year student named Moyna is pregnant. Pray for her because she is 40 years old and compliccations may be seen during delivery. A 2nd year Muslim student is named Rukaia. Her mother was affected with the corona virus but she recovered. She is however suffering from short term memory loss. Pray for her family because her father left them long time ago and the only mother is now in mental trouble.
Please give thanks that my mother-in-law has recovered completely from her pneumonia. I seek prayer for my weakness in memorizing verses. Pray for me so that God may give me more memorizing power.
August 17, 2020–We were doing the BMW class over the phone. I had a conversation about faith in God with Moyna (38, Christian). During this class, I was shared the Bridge illustration with her and after our conversation she told me that she was depending on God every moment and God is blessing her. But she said that she still was a sinner. I told her just to try to follow whatever God asks for. I said, “I know it’s hard to follow all the time, but it will help us overcome from committing sin.” I shared some verses about assurance of salvation. She told me that she would try to live with God, would pray and read the Bible every day.
August 16, 2020–I was praying at our house and it was an evening prayer meeting. I was sharing the Bridge illustration with Bivudan and his family (61, Hindu). Bivudan’s uncle was asking some questions. After sharing, I asked him, Are you sinner? He said yes. Then I told him that if we died with our sins we would be in hell. I asked him, “Which side do you want to go, sinner’s side or God’s side? He replied, God’s side. I said to him, “You must accept Jesus Christ in your life.” I shared some Bible verses with him.
August 14, 2020–I was at the hospital because my mother-in-law was suffering from a fever and other physical problems. One nurse, (Nasrin, 44, Muslim) came to me and asked so many questions about my mother’s health issues. During this conversation, she told me that all the diseases come for our sins. No one in this world is good and because of that Allah cursed us for our sins. Then I asked to her, “How will you get freedom from the curse and this kind of problems?” I told her that we should depend on God, follow His commands and live with His laws. When I was sharing, I shared the gospel and told about Jesus and she learned a little bit about Christians. She was so thankful when listening to all those things.
August 13, 2020--Payel (age 20, Christian) is our neighbor. Some times, I go to their house for fellowship. One day I went to their house and we talked about so many issues. Then I shared the Bridge illustration with her. I was talking about sin and she admitted that she was a sinner. She knew about Jesus, but did not follow Christianity, and she doesn’t go to church or read the Bible. She does not pray to God, but she believes in God. I was trying to help her understand why Jesus came to this earth and why He died. Then she said that she would try to not commit sin. I didn’t get opportunity to share assurance of salvation. I will share assurance of salvation with her when I will get a chance.
July 12, 2020–Mizanur (45, a Muslim) is a rickshaw puller. When I was in his rickshaw I had a conversation with him about Corona virus and he was sharing that this virus came because of our sin. This is a curse from Allah for our sin. But he used to pray, asking forgiveness for his sin to Allah according to his belief. I reached in my work place and had to leave the conversation. But I am praying for him so that he can understand who is our true God.
June 10, 2020–We started our conversation with Covid-19. Sharmin (age 26) said this is the result of our sin because we are not following Allah’s rules. She believes that she will not go to heaven because she is a sinner. Then I shared about Jesus why He came? I also shared that for Christian people to go heaven is very easier but I couldn’t share the Bridge illustration with her because her teacher came. I will shareb the Bridge illustration later.
June 8, 2020–Jhorna (age 29) and I had a conversation about greediness and I asked do you have assurance of salvation? She said “I don’t know, but I am getting many blessings from Him. When I pray to God, every time He answers according to my prayer.” I shared some verses from Bible about salvation and how we can get assurance of salvation. Then she told me she wants know about God and the Bible more. But she doesn’t know but she wants to depend on God always and will try always.
July 7, 2020—I have 53 students in a total. I have talked over the phone with 32 students. All the students I was able to talk to are pretty attentive in their lessons. This is a great blessing from God. But most of my students have no phone and that’s why I cannot contact them. This is the only barrier in my field.
I was able to share the Bridge illustration with two Christians and one muslim student. They are Joya, Jhorna and Sharmin. They all could understand that they are sinners but not prepared for receiving Jesus. Pray for them so that they can meditate on the lesson and can understand the necessity of Jesus in their lives.
I am blessed with 4 disciples and I was able to talk with 3 of them this month. One of them named Marcus is really helping me to form 2 new teams, one is helping to take classes in person to his group and the other one is a bit ill. Pray for them so that God may bless them because of their contribution in this ministry.
I have a problem in my ear and ear bone. I have been taking myself to doctors since many months. But I believe God will heal me. Keep me in prayer so that I can do my job faithfully for His kingdom.
May 27, 2020–Answer to my prayer: I would like to give thanks to the Lord that you prayed for my cousin. Her breast tumor surgery has been done successfully. She is completely fine now. My uncle broke his arm and we prayed for it. Now he is fine. He managed to get treatment on time and is recovering slowly.
Ministry: I have 52 students in total. I talked this month with 90% of the students. Most of the students are willing to do classes over phone. As we couldn’t supply them with books, they are encouraged in memorizing verses. About 60% students have shown their attention to the Bible study. I tried to cover some chapters of the books, but its progress is very slow over phone. It would be better if they had books with them.
I have three disciples. I talked with two of them about not so deep biblical conversations but about classes and books. They are pretty encouraged in memorizing verses and they are good at it. One of my disciples in Batiyaghata is really very cooperative. I have a new team in Batiyaghata. That area is very remote and in country. The phone network is not available there. The team is 90% non-Christian, but because of hard work, I could communicate with the team. Please keep praying for the team so that this team may not get lost due to lack of communication. We have a lot of opportunities to share Christ with them.
I couldn’t share the Bridge illustration or teach about salvation, forgiveness and other things. Pray for me so God will provide me the courage and opportunities for sharing.
My students are quite responsive, but some of them gave us cell numbers which always remain switched off. I couldn’t get them since the lockdown started. I face problems because of the remoteness of the area. Mobile networks are not good. Pray for these difficulties so that God may help us to overcome.
Personal: I still have pain in my ear. I can’t talk over the phone for a long time with one ear only. Please pray for my ear. I am struggling with my ear. It is one of my physical weakness. I also want ask for prayer for my uncle’s newborn baby. Due to lockdown, the twin babies were delivered at home. Both of them were in malnutrition. The family couldn’t understand the necessity for better treatment and one baby died a few days ago. The other one is also in danger. So, pray that this baby can survive and God may provide all the things they need right now.
April 22, 2020–>Praise God that God has kept my husband and in-laws healthy and well. But I have been suffering from ear pain for a couple of days. Pray for me so that I can be completely healed by His name. Please pray for one of my neighbors, an old lady who lives alone, all by herself. She is sick now and nobody is there to take care of her. Her children live in other districts.
One of my students, Shagorika, asked for prayer as her family is going through a hard time financially.
This month I was able to make contact with 120 students. I took classes with them over the phone. Please pray for them so that they can understand the word of God from their materials that I taught from and God may help them to follow the scripture and apply them in their life.
I am discipling one of my disciples named Markus. He is a faithful servant of God. Pray for his family as they are going through a financial crisis for this lockdown situation. I was discussing with him from Jeremiah 19:15. I would like to request you to pray for him so that he can understand that passage. God may give him wisdom and guide him by this Spirit. Pray for him as he made a goal to share the gospel with his neighbors around his house who are Muslims and Hindus. Pray that God may make his plan successful.
Pray for some of my students who are less interested in taking classes over the phone. They are missing the group fellowship. Pray for them so that they become encouraged about studying Bible courses. Some students’ families are struggling with their financial crisis. They lost their source of income.
February 17, 2020–Thank God that he has kept my family healthy!
Pray for my left ear. From two years ago a lump or growth in front of my left ear appeared along with a swelling under my chin and is painful when it is cold. It reduced after 6 months of treatment, but it is still there. There is suspicion it is a tumor. Please pray for guidance and healing.
Praise the Lord that Tonni Sarker’s father who was very sick is now very well (Nov. 8 request) and (got help from the Mercy Fund). A Muslim student named Rukiya Akter Ruku’s father left the family and married a second wife (he has done the pilgrimmage to Mecca and is an important immam). Rukiya is the oldest (around 21 years old) of 4 children and they are struggling to pay their rent and other similar problems. After my marriage I became friends with her and she took a BMW course. I then went to her mother and invited her to take the course. Her mother does not know that Rukiya has been studying the same thing. She came to Rukiya’s BMW graduation, but didn’t come early enough to see Rukiya cross the stage, so it is still a secret. Pray she will continue in spite of the family problems and that God will open her mind to the truth of the Gospel. Also, her mother has a very warm relationship with us. She cooked an anniversary party feast for us last year and cooked for a BMW staff meeting.
Also pray for the new group in Botiaghata whose leader Markas Biswas had twin boys in 2019. Sometime they both get sick and she cannot serve as the leader. So good health is important for the ministry! (She also is employed by a ministry called Christian Life Bangladesh (Cru)). There’s a lot of interested students in this area and they are eager to get the study started for this year.
Our target for Khulna this year is 400 students. We want to get the groups started as early as possible so they can begin studying.
We are blessed that a leader of a big church in Khulna requested that we make a presentation to their church committee about BMW to consider making it a part of their church program. May God bless the churches who love His Word and trust BMW to train them (there are many in Khulna who love us)! Pray that the Catholic churches will be more receptive to our ministry.
I need strength to find and lead personal disciples. This is a new area for me.
December 12, 2019–Pray for one of my students named Sanjida. She seeks prayer for her family. A student named Tonmoy, his grandmother is having a painful back these days. Pray for that old woman. My all students are attending final exams right now. Pray for me so that I can prepare them in time. I have shared the gospel with three people this month. Pray for them so that they can feel the spiritual touch in their hearts. We are all taking preparation for the upcoming big event, the graduation program in January 2020.
Pray for me and my husband Regan Baroi as we have so many responsibilities in two graduation programs, in both Khulna and Gopalgonj.
November 23, 2019–After a long conversation I was able to share the gospel with Sharman (age 27). She loves all religion. She thinks each and every religion is good. She said she did not divide God and religion, etc. After my sharing she gave thanks for my sharing.
November 22, 2019–Sadia (age 39) was born in a Christian family. But she became Muslim by her marriage. She believes Jesus. Sadia thinks that she committed a great sin by changing her religion. After a long time she heard about Christianity and the words of God. She asks for forgiveness for her sins. Please pray for Sadia.
November 9, 2019–I had a nice talk with Anamika (age 22) about the salvation. I helped her to be more clear about it. I used Bridge Illustration to explain to her about eternal life. But she said that Didi (Sister) as I know and believe that each and every religion are good but we only have to do good work to enter into the heaven. She was very much stick on what she is saying. So i end up saying Jesus is the only way to go heaven.
November 8, 2019–I would like you to pray for one of my Muslim students. She is going through some family problems. Also, a Muslim aunty who is my neighbor requested to keep praying for her children. They are very disobedient and living sinful lives. I especially request prayer for the Christian youth of our society. They are being attracted to other religions. They are not living a Godly life.
