From my youth I had a Christian family. I thought I would go to heaven because my family is a Christian family. I went to Sunday School and learned much through Bible memory verses and saw Bible verses written on the walls of all the buildings. I especially loved John 3:16, “God so loved the world, that He gave…” It says I can have eternal life, but I did not know what eternal life is. I learned that my father could not give me eternal life. My mom can’t either. I must receive it myself. Only then can I get to heaven. I was struggling in my heart. I had camp and girls club. Finally, in 1989 I went to Bashkhali camp and heard from Jeremiah 18:1-14 that God is the potter and I am the clay. Our senior pastor explained it beautifully and took us to the potters’ village to watch the potters work. We saw various things being made. Some items got destroyed but made again into a beautiful new pot. It touched my heart that I am the clay and Jesus Christ is the potter. Only He can make my heart right and He can come to my heart and live there. I thought it over a lot and shared my thoughts with a good friend (Munni, who is dead now), Mary Malakar and others. At the campfire that night, older girls were giving their testimonies. The Holy Spirit said to me, “You should also give testimony!” I gave my testimony in the name of God that I am the clay, Jesus is my potter and only Jesus can give me the shape he wants. I accepted Him as my Savior and Lord, to have salvation and the assurance of heaven. Later, that year I was baptized.

I humbly request everyone to pray for Pravati Biswas’s family. Pravati is our 3rd year student. She has only one child, a university going daughter. They are a believer family but unfortunately her daughter married a Hindu boy against their will. Due to sadness and anger Pravati’s husband disowned their daughter. This happened 4 to 5 years ago. The girl still has no children. Recently Pravati’s daughter found out that her husband, the Hindu boy, is having an affair with another girl from not long. Now that Hindu family wants her to go back to her mother’s house. They don’t want her anymore. But because her father disowned her, she doesn’t want to come back home no matter how many time Pravati asks her to come back. Both father and daughter loved each other so much before that, but now both can’t let go of their huff. But now the situation has worsened. Pravati’s daughter has tried to commit suicide several times now. She tried to cut her wrist and tried to burn herself by throwing kerosene on herself. As they are living in the same village, Pravati can hear every time her daughter tries to commit suicide. In this situation Pravati is on the verge of collapsing that she can’t find any way to save her daughter. Now she is only depending on God to save her daughter. She requested us to pray for them so that God may give her daughter rebuking so she may throw way her stubbornness and come back home before doing something bad or foolish. Please pray for them.

Fortunately, it fell just to his right side. God has shown His miracle and saved their lives. Almost 38 electric pillars fell down and the transmitter was burst. March 25, 2019–In my ministry area at Barishal, one group of Hindu college students are very interested to start our course. Please pray for this group so that they can start and continue without any obstacle, and also, they can find the joy and love of Christ through this course. Give thanks as we were able to start our Bible course in a Christian hostel in both boys’ and girls’ sections where there are 20 students are taking this course. We have been praying for this opportunity for a long time. These hostels are operating by the authority of the Church of Bangladesh. Also pray for my health and my safety so that I can travel to many different areas with health counseling and good news of God.
