In April Thomas logged 23 hours on answer sheets, 16 hours with Canadian Bible students, 21 hours studying BTCP material (future staff training). 87 hours directly instructing BD staff. 8 hours in Nav 2:7 discipleship study. 6 hours in miscellaneous office work (mailings) for a total of 161 hours of work.
Esther’s work report
Esther can now do all her work. She cut back to 15 hours when we made the decision last board meeting, but is back to 20 now. She buried her mother this month.
Matthew’s work report
This month Matthew spent time in Khulna with all the staff from the south. He and Mou have received help in the ministry from Mou’s mom and dad. This has also improved greatly Mou’s ability to overcome depression in the short term. They consult with Dr. and Mrs. DeCook every week. We are getting a clearer picture of the ministry expenses and results due to fuller and fuller reporting. See the Discipleship list (Attachment A). The evangelism scoreboard (Attachment B). Student count toward the goal of 3550 (Attachment C). Expenses into the fields (Attachment D). The monthly financial report (Attachment E). Note that the exchange rate is basically 80 Taka per Dollar. The running Bethel Church bank account statement (Attachment F). The Mercy Fund report for April (Attachment G).
The shortfall between our need and income has closed from $40,000 to $20,000 because our income this month was $39,000. Our goals of contacting 40 AWOL donors was reached. getting 10 corporate sponsors, we got 3. 15 individual presentation we got over half. 10 church contacts we got over half. We started event marketing on web and in print. A Taste of Bangladesh meetings have been held to continue prepping for this effort.
We now have the “A Taste of Bangladesh” on the website and we have a board section.
